Museum Day ticket prices include a 10% voluntary donation which enables us to reclaim tax on the whole ticket price under Gift Aid. These vital funds go towards our conservation work however, you can choose not to include the donation when you buy your tickets.
Many Thanks,  The East Anglian Railway Museum. Registered Charity

Important Information for when you visit.

ALL TICKET HOLDERS NEED TO GET THEIR TICKETS VALIDATED AT THE EARM RECEPTION AT THE FRONT OF THE STATION (IN FRONT OF THE CAR PARK) BEFORE ENTERING THE MUSEUM.

Please keep all children close to hand as train operations and vehicle movements by our volunteers on the site may occur at any time.
Platform 1 of the Museum is used by the Greater Anglia service to Sudbury and Marks Tey.

Well behaved Dogs on leads in are welcome in all areas, and there’s no charge for them at the EARM.

Accessibility

The Museum is open to all, due to the nature of the Heritage site a step footbridge joins the two halves of the museum across a working railway line so wheelchair users will need a vehicle to gain full access to both sides of the museum.

Most of the museum buildings are accessible including the Goods Shed, Restoration Shed, Model Railway Exhibition and Thompson Building  .
This means that if you are arriving by train then you will need to use the step footbridge.

If you are arriving by car/minibus please drive to the visitor reception at the front of the station to purchase or validate your tickets and they will give you directions to drive to the rear gate to gain access to the Museum. (If possible can the wheelchair user please remain in the vehicle while another member of the party gets the tickets, this will save the wheelchair user from having to get back into the car to drive to the rear gate of the Museum)

Please call reception if you need any further assistance on
01206 242524

Accessible toilets are available in theThompson Building, adjacent to the Restoration Shed and on Platform 2.

Well behaved Dogs on leads in are welcome in all areas, and there’s no charge for them at the EARM.
