Since our original line was closed and dismantled in 2019 to make room for the Exhibition Hall, our volunteers have been working hard to build our new Miniature Railway and have built a new Station, Signal Box and Engine Shed plus the all important ground works and track. It’s been a lot of hard work but the first phase is now open and we welcome visitors to take a ride on most event days.

You will find this new station adjacent to the children’s playground.  Two special locomotives, steam engine ‘Frederick’ and electric loco ‘Ricardo Lampwick’ have been retained from the old railway and new coaches are now running. There are currently works ongoing to extend the current line to allow us to offer a longer ride and more capacity on busy days.
