Day out with Thomas Events take place throughout the year at the East Anglian Railway Museum.

Our next event will be during the August Bank Holiday Weekend from Saturday 24th to Monday 16th August. Your ticket will be valid all day from 10:00 to 17:00. 

Book now so you don’t miss out.

Historically the later days are the quieter days, and the first hour for entry is the busiest. Why not arrive a little bit later to avoid the queues?

Take a real train ride with a life-sized Thomas The Tank Engine, Percy and Daisy.
Meet Sir Topham Hatt, Controller of the Railway.

Rides on our miniature railway.

What does my Day Out with Thomas ticket include?
Your ticket includes all the activities included in the event information above.

Do I need to book a ticket for a child aged 0-2 years?:

No. Children aged 0-2 years attend for free and no ticket is required.

Will tickets be available to purchase on the day?:
No. Tickets must be purchased online in advance.

What time can I arrive?:
The Event runs from 10:00 to 16:00 and your ticket is valid for entry at any time.

Can I travel directly to the venue by train?:
Yes. Visit www.nationalrail.co.uk and search for the station ‘Chappel & Wakes Colne’. Please note there is no step-free access if arriving by rail.

You can visit  Platform Two Cafe, which is run by our external suppliers, Stour Valley Catering – they’re open from 10am – 4pm (please note that food is not served by Platform Two Cafe after 2pm during the winter months) and serve tasty breakfast, lunch & snack options, as well as coffee, tea & a range of cold beverages.
